WTFHJBD: What the Fuck has Jen Been Doing

3rd August 2016 by Jen Leave a Comment

I’m Jen/CensoredPixel and…uh, yeah it’s been a while.

Nearly a year and a half of telling myself that it’s totally a good idea to try out the 27+ different things which I was absolutely sure I’d get hooked onto has gone by way too fast. A lot’s happened so I figured it might be time to try and list a sample what the fuck’s gone on:

Number One:

I got a new job. I’m back where I belong in the world of in-house social media working with an amazing company and a team that’s insanely up for trying new things. Want to go for a wander around Edinburgh and Live Stream the entire thing to a hefty chunk of folk on Facebook? Aye, sure. Off you go.

Number Two:

We hopped on a plane back to Boston to explore the chaos that is PAX East. Still awesome and still a little insane.

Good luck out there #PAXEast pic.twitter.com/CLgpkkeGtS

Caught up with @PaperBatVG. Went to my signature demented face #PAXEast pic.twitter.com/zaIqqCFJmz

Number Three:

Somehow still living with a boy. I’m honestly not sure why he’s still hanging around after all the tormenting he goes through, but he’s still not done a runner so that’s pretty good.

Number Four:

Quit the gym. Rejoined the gym.

This is an ongoing saga in my life that will probably continue for the foreseeable future.

Number Five:

Spent a lot of cash. See below.

Number Six:

Bought a PC.
My old iMac just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I needed something that could actually run games and with as many monitors are I could fit onto my desk. I present to you the space station.

Uh so… I gained a 3rd monitor & a new desk but still ran out of room. pic.twitter.com/TadMvxZFQB

Number Seven:

Tried Twitch.
It was awesome, but I quickly realised that I just couldn’t keep up with the schedule, full time work and life. I have nothing but admiration and respect for those folk who do it day in, day out – you are made l of much tougher stuff that I am.

Number Eight:

Attempted to make videos.
I wanted to learn how to make videos for work – ya know, expand on the ol’ knowledge and skillz. Unboxings and general life videos seem to be the best way for me to do that so I’ll probably continue faffing around on there for a while longer.

Number Nine:

Didn’t buy that much LEGO.
True story.

Number Ten:

Cross-stitched.
I’ve become a little obsessed with the world of cross-stitching right now. I’ve live streamed it on Twitch, I’ve taken part in marathons with an amazing group of streamers and I’ve lost many an hour to the insanely large Zelda piece that’s currently consuming my life. And you know what? It’s been the most relaxed I’ve been in a while.

6 hours later and a face finally appears. #crossstitch #Zelda pic.twitter.com/Upttzt6U16

Number Eleven:

Got a kitters.
I may have mentioned this once or twice in passing…
I’ve always been a dog person but Ragdolls had that alluring appeal which I couldn’t ever shake and when the opportunity popped up to get one into my home, how could I possibly say no? This is Alexa and she’s a little shit.

Kitters
