I went to Berlin.
Yes it was months ago, but shhh. Cast your minds back April and this will all seem relevant and super awesome. I didn’t just decide to go. Oh, no, no, no! It was all carefully planned and in aid of the lovely Betty’s hen weekend. And it was one of the best weekends I’ve ever had which all started on a plane…
And then there was the hotel. The Michelberger Hotel. Oh, this bloody place was amazing. Full of hipsters and cool kids, but amazing nonetheless.
Heading to Berlin?
Want to stay in an amazing room?
Want to sleep on a suspended bed surrounded by a net?
Want to eat *the* most amazing breakfast ever?
Then stay here. End of discussion.
You wanna make this city even better? Then throw in all of the stuff that it’s famous for. You’ve got enough street art to do you for a lifetime, enough history to overload your noggin’ with and enough weird/bizarre doobries in the oddest of places to make you want to explore everything in sight.
Whilst we did do the typical touristy thing of hopping on a tour bus, it’s not where all the good stuff is at. You want to go on the The Alternative Walking Tour for the brilliant shit. Yes, I did say walking tour and it lasted for four hours. Four hours I hear you cry?! Yes. But you see everything from the hidden street art galleries to a Jamaican beach bar hidden behind the Berlin Wall.
I’m already planning my return trip. God dammit, Berlin. I <3 you.
